Design Den Down Under was created with a vision to provide uniquely curated stylish outdoor cushions that are designed and made here in Australia.
We are two busy mums with husbands, five children and four fur-babies between us, who share a love and passion for aesthetically beautiful homewares and textiles. We have over 27 years combined experience in the Interior Design world, both residential and commercial.
We know that families enjoy coming together outdoors during the summer months and holiday seasons. They spend the majority of this time gathering together in their homes, backyards or on boats. We appreciate there is a desire to create comfortable yet striking living spaces in which to share and celebrate these special moments.
Our clients often speak to us about the struggle they have in finding outdoor soft furnishings that are both highly fashionable and durable. In our hunt to assist them we discovered that there is a limited choice available, specifically in quality fabric for weatherproof seat and bench cushions. As Interior Designers, our goal is to provide a choice of soft furnishings by sourcing exceptionally designed fabric then assembling a balanced range of indoor/outdoor cushions, that provide a fusion of colour and texture through timeless simplicity.
Outdoor furnishings are faced with constant exposure to the sun and rain which over time breaks down fabric composition. We have searched extensively to find the highest quality outdoor fabrics that have been engineered to last up to five years in the elements.
We want to bring a gentle touch of luxury, coloured with natural tones and layers of texture that complement different outdoor and indoor surroundings, casting serene, reflective, relaxed shadows and enhancing schemes to suit varying tastes and lifestyles.
We believe our collections will complement any living or entertaining space from a casual backyard to a glamorous alfresco pavilion, from a simple family boat to a luxury superyacht.
